چکیده
BJH analysis is shown to be a highly useful method estimate the distance between stacks within plasma-exfoliated graphitic material, and coincide with data obtained from SEM, AFM XRD analysis.

Film-pore diffusion modeling for sorption of azo dye on to exfoliated graphitic nanoplatelets
Exfoliated graphitic nanoplatelets (xGnPs) have been utilized as a potential adsorbent for toxic textile dye Acid Orange 7 (acid dye). The effects of major variables governing the efficiency of the process, such as temperature, initial dye concentration and pH are studied. The kinetic measurements have been used for determining the specific rate constant, confirming the applicability of pseudo ...
متن کاملNucleation in a slit pore
We have employed density functional theory in statistical mechanics to study the nucleation of the gas–liquid transition inside a slit pore. This is the simplest kind of pore, in which a fluid is confined between two infinite and identical planar surfaces. Equilibrium capillary condensation in such systems has been studied in the past. Here, we explore the kinetics of nucleation of the new phas...
متن کاملExperimental Study on Split-Ring Resonators with Different Slit Widths
Metamaterial one-dimensional periodic structures are composed of split-ring resonators, which can display electric permittivity and magnetic permeability simultaneously negative, are studied experimentally. In the present study, each resonator is made up of two concentric circular copper rings patterned on a substrate of kapton, with slits diametrically opposite each other and with the line of ...
متن کاملMolecular dynamics simulations of supercritical water confined within a carbon-slit pore.
We report the results of a series of molecular dynamics simulations of water inside a carbon-slit pore at supercritical conditions. A range of densities corresponding from liquid (0.66gcm;{-3}) to gas environments (0.08gcm;{-3}) at the supercritical temperature of 673K were considered. Our findings are compared with previous studies of liquid water confined in graphene nanochannels at ambient a...
متن کاملPlasma-based ion implantation utilising a cathodic arc plasma
Plasma-based ion implantation (PBII) is usually carried out with isotropic gaseous plasmas, such as a discharge in nitrogen. More recently, it has been applied using drifting plasmas, such as those produced by cathodic arcs, in order to allow efficient implantation of metallic species. The condensable nature of a cathodic arc plasma allows for the deposition of ion-stitched thin film coatings, ...
